Waterton Maps & Location

Waterton Lakes National Park is located in the Southwestern corner of Alberta, Canada. It is 270 km south of Calgary and 130 km from Lethbridge. From Calgary take Highway 2 South to Fort Macleod and then head West on Highway 3 to Pincher Creek. Now head South on Highway 6 and you will be in Waterton. From Calgary the drive is approximately 3 Hours.

From Lethbridge head South on Highway 2 until Cardston and then West to the park on Highway 5. The park is approximately 1 Hour and 15 minutes from Lethbridge.

If you are coming from British Columbia, heading East on the Crowsnest Pass Highway 3 to Pincher Creek and then go South on Highway 6 all the way to the park.

If you are coming from the Glacier National Park in Montana, USA, you can take the Chief Mountain International Highway in the summer (the Highway is closed in the Winter) or take Montana Highway 89 to Alberta Highway 2 to Cardston and then West on Highway 5 to the park.
